An Improved Hybrid Model for the Generic Hoist Scheduling Problem
The generic hoist scheduling problem is NP-hard and arises from automated manufacturing lines. In recent work using the constraint logic programming (CLP) formalism, a unified model has been developed with the problem description and solution method separated. We provide an improved model and new preprocessing stages where, as before, solutions and proof of optimality are provided by a hybrid C...
متن کاملdevelopment and implementation of an optimized control strategy for induction machine in an electric vehicle
in the area of automotive engineering there is a tendency to more electrification of power train. in this work control of an induction machine for the application of electric vehicle is investigated. through the changing operating point of the machine, adapting the rotor magnetization current seems to be useful to increase the machines efficiency. in the literature there are many approaches wh...

Scheduling Jobs of an Extrusion Facility
This paper introduces the problem of scheduling extrusion jobs in an extrusion facility. It describes the problem and its industrial context, develops an integer mathematical formulation of the problem, and presents 4 neighborhood search heuristics to solve it. An extensive experimental study shows that the proposed neighborhood search heuristics produce very good solutions.
Production Planning and Scheduling for Container Company * an Integrated
-This paper describes a hierarchy of models and information systems being developed by integrated producers of corrugated containers to aid in the process of planning and scheduling their operations. The initial focus is on eight easily identifiable decision areas and the tools available to deal with them. The eight decision areas are paper machine loading, master scheduling, trimming, boxcar l...
